Climate Action Innovator
The impacts of climate change have become more clear, and sadly also more evident. The immediacy and scale of our response to the challenge of climate change is the single biggest issue of our time. The tourism industry is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. And yet, our industry has also long understood the need for a sustainable industry and for mitigating our impacts on the environment and our host communities.
Climate Action Australia (CAA) has been established by EA to provide the tourism industry with a timely response to this globally important issue. With the overwhelming volume of information available on climate change, Climate Action Australia will provide the industry with practical and applied tools for both adaptation and mitigation strategies. -

South Australia a Brilliant Blend
South Australia. A brilliant blend is the State’s new brand, embracing all that we have to offer.
The concept has been developed following extensive research and planning by the South Australian Tourism Commission, in consultation with a wide range of other government agencies.
South Australia. A brilliant blend builds on the State’s main strength - its wine reputation - without limiting its focus to wine. In fact, the new brand encapsulates South Australia’s diversity while being modern, creative and inspiring. It is a brand that all South Australians can be proud of and get behind.
The new brand will replace Discover the Secrets of South Australia in the State’s tourism marketing campaigns, and will also be rolled out in a range of other areas in the coming months.
South Australia. A brilliant blend marks the beginning of an exciting new era in marketing the State as a holiday and travel destination. We look forward to ensuring everyone discovers the ‘brilliant blend’ that is South Australia. -
TCF Participant
The Travel Compensation Fund is Australia's primary means of providing compensation to eligible travellers who suffer loss as a result of the financial collapse of a participating travel agency business. The TCF helps guard against the failure of participating travel agency businesses through financial monitoring of agency accounts.
The TCF was established in 1986 to provide a safety net for travellers who lose money if an Australian travel agent collapses. Travellers who book a package or other travel through a licensed travel agent are compensated by the TCF should that agent collapse or become insolvent.
The only state/territory not to participate in the TCF is the Northern Territory. All Australian travel agents (with the exception of NT agents) must be licensed with the TCF to operate. The TCF audits the finances of each travel agent annually.
There are currently more than 3,200 participating travel agents in Australia (operating from 4,800 locations), which fund the TCF through fee payments. Since it was established in 1986, the TCF has paid out more than $50 million to Australians who have been caught up in travel agent collapses.
