Day 1

Depart Adelaide and travel North to the picturesque Flinders Ranges;  Visit Wadlata Outback Centre in Port Augusta for hands-on interpretive displays about the  history and culture of the Flinders Ranges;  Lunch at Wadlata Café or the historic town of Quorn in the friendly Austral Hotel;  Visit an ancient Aboriginal cave painting site and hear the local Aboriginal creation story of this  mysterious site;  Stop for afternoon tea en route;  Arrive at Wilpena Resort with leisure time for a walk, visit the Information Centre, a drink at the  bar, a swim or take a 30 minute scenic flight (at extra cost of $120 per person, min. 2 people)  over the ranges (time permitting);  Dine at the Wilpena Pound restaurant before retiring to your accommodation. 

Day 2

 Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the restaurant;  Visit a gorge to see ancient Aboriginal engravings and listen to a social history talk about the Adnyamathanha people who are the local Aboriginal land custodians;  Break for a bush food morning tea in the beautiful surrounds;  Take a scenic walk to an ancient Aboriginal Rock Art site to see ochre paintings depicting the  creation of Wilpena Pound and hear the Adnyamathanha story about its creation;  Drive to the historic mining town of Blinman for lunch at the Wild Lime Cafe;  After lunch continue on a scenic gorge tour back through the ranges to view spectacular  landscapes featuring magnificent geological formations. Search for Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies, kangaroos, emus and other wildlife;  Dine at Wilpena Pound Resort restaurant. 

Day 3

 Enjoy a buffet breakfast at Wilpena Pound Resort restaurant;  Take a peaceful walk along the gum tree lined Wilpena Creek to Wangarra Look-Out for  spectacular views inside Wilpena Pound;  Enjoy morning tea en route in a picturesque gum tree flanked creek bed;  Enjoy lunch at Hawker and visit the Wilpena Panorama Gallery to see a magnificent 360 degree  painting of Wilpena Pound and other locally produced art, craft and food;  Depart for Adelaide & visit local ruins at Kanyaka. (time permitting)
