Penguins by the Dozen

You begin your journey in mid-afternoon when your guide collects you from your Adelaide accommodation. We travel through the scenic Adelaide Hills (part of the Mt Lofty Ranges) making a short stop in the township of Hahndorf before traveling through Kuitpo Forest and Mt Compass.

After arriving at Victor Harbor we visit Urimbirra Wildlife Park, which provides you with one of the most extraordinary experiences - exclusive access to the park! This is a real Banksia Adventure.

As many of Australia’s animals are nocturnal, this visit provides you with the ideal opportunity to discover a host of wildlife not seen active during the daylight hours. Koalas, Wombats, Kangaroos, nocturnal birds and many marsupials come alive after dusk and you can meet them without any other members of the public in the Park.

The highlight is a guided visit to the Fairy Penguin colony on Granite Island. The evening seashore is alive with the activity of these captivating little creatures. Enjoy dinner in the relaxed atmosphere along the seashore. Your homeward journey includes the Willunga Hill lookout for a spectacular night view along the coast to the lights of Adelaide.                                                             

Tour departs Adelaide at 14:30 and returns at approximately 22.30
