The McLaren Vale and Adelaide hills are amongst Australia’s most important wine regions and both are conveniently close to Adelaide.

Your expert wine guide will pick you up from your Adelaide accommodation and take you via a picturesque route into the McLaren Vale wine region, which lies less than an hour to the south of the city.

After morning tea you will visit a variety of wineries so as to develop an appreciation of the wine styles of the region.  Lunch will be at a local restaurant, highlighting produce of the Southern Vales.  After lunch you will enter the Adelaide Hills wine region through rich pastureland studded with majestic gum trees, to the quaint German tourist village of Hahndorf.

Here you may browse among the shops and, time permitting, have the opportunity to taste the wines of this distinctly different wine region, before returning to your accommodation in Adelaide.

Tour departs Adelaide at 09:00 and ends at approx 17:30
