Wine, Water and Wildlife
Cuddle a Koala
City pick-up 08:45Your guide will pick you up in Adelaide and take you along a picturesque route to the McLaren Vale wine region where you will have morning tea and visit one of the premium local wineries, before proceeding south towards the coastal town of Victor Harbor. Here you will visit Urimbirra Wildlife Sanctuary - a very special treat. Urimbirra is a home to many native Australian animals, including koalas, kangaroos, wombats, dingoes and even crocodiles. You will have the opportunity to get ‘up close and personal’ with many of the animals including private access with the Koalas. Lunch at a restaurant in the seaside town of Victor Harbor provides an opportunity to refresh and relax. After lunch you will explore parts of the southern coast of the peninsula, including Port Elliot, Lake Alexandrina, the floodplain of the Bremer River and one of Australia’s oldest family-owned wineries in the Langhorne Creek wine region. Your return journey to Adelaide will take you through the historic country town of Strathalbyn, originally settled by Scottish migrants, as well as the Mount Lofty Ranges’ town of Mount Barker. At the end of your day of wine, water and wildlife experiences we return to the city via the freeway through the gumtree-studded Adelaide Hills.
